Sunderstorm is one of the fast-growing private companies in the U.S., says Inc. magazine in its annual ranking of the top independent businesses. The company experienced 1,400-percent growth in the previous three years, securing Sunderstorm the No. 319 spot on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list.
“This is a tremendous milestone for Sunderstorm,” said Cameron Clarke, Co-Founder and CEO of Sunderstorm. “We have made it our mission to deliver the most dependable and compelling products in the cannabis market, and this accomplishment exemplifies the efforts of the entire Sunderstorm staff who invested their diverse talents into building a truly sophisticated cannabis brand.”
Sunderstorm joins brands like Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft and Patagonia that gained national exposure as honorees on previous Inc. 5000 lists.
Contributing to a banner year for the company in 2021, Sunderstorm received recognition from the American Business Awards for becoming the first cannabis company to partner with Max (HBO Max at the time). A joint-marketing campaign for the animated series Close Enough featured four custom KANHA-branded gummy products that reflected the personalities of each main character. “The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled,” says Scott Omelianuk, Editor-in-Chief of Inc. “Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we’ve lived through is just plain amazing.”
